How it Works
Incorporating a bladder into the user-side of our ballistic protection creates a force dampening buffer between the user and the source of impact. This means the shield absorbs the force, so the user doesn't have to.
TKM Ballistics envisioned a protection solution for officers that was convenient, easy to store, and prevented blunt force trauma from ballistic impact. Our solution: an inflatable bladder.
TKM Unlimited, Inc., TKM Ballistics' parent company, developed a valve that allows for rapid inflation. With the pull of a lever, you can have an NIJ level III or IIIA shield with a superior surface area that is lightweight. When deflated, the shields are designed to become compact. When inflated, the pressurized system provides the user a durable, rigid shield.

B-RADS Series
Ballistic-Rapid Air Deployable System
Our B-RADS Series is a line of rapidly inflatable ballistic shields offering a range of NIJ Level IIIA to III protection. When deflated, this series can be made compact and stored, there when you need it most. Ensure a new CO2 cannister is in place for next use, pull the lever, and the system immediately becomes rigid and ready for combat.

Rigid Impact Absorbing Shield
Our RIAS Series is a line of shields ranging in capabilities from ballistic to stab resistant. Our ballistic models offer the same bladder configuration and impact absorption technology as the B-RADS models. The stab resistant models offer an impact absorbing foam rather than an inflation system. Both models can incorporate a viewport upon request.

Product Lease Program
Through TKM Ballistics' T&E Lease Program, certified organizations have the chance to work hands-on with our shields for 4 weeks. This trial period is for non-ballistic testing and includes two CO2 cannisters per product. Please click below to request our lease contract or to receive more information.
